I was raised in the coastal city of Corpus Christi in South Texas. Being an aspiring musician, I played drums all the way from marching band in junior high school in my teens, to several rock and roll bands as an adult while living in Dallas, Texas. It was noticed that I was artistic at a very early age and I spent  most of my childhood drawing, taking influence from comic books, album art and the colorful decor of my Hispanic heritage. I began graphic design in the early 1990’s and started my career servicing a variety of industries, primarily oil and gas, for which I pioneered unique illustrations of geological formations. In later years, my concepts were inspired by observation, human emotion, inward struggles, spirituality and daily longevity. Whether it was impressionistic, abstract, modern, or a mixture, my techniques varied using different styles that seemed to greatly contrast and even contradict each other. In time, I gravitated to paint and canvas with the sole use of a palette knife instead of paint brushes. Now, what I’m most excited about are new works done in what I describe as Angular Expressionism.
